• Psychology (Minor)

  • Overview

    The Psychology minor is offered through Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts.

    This curriculum introduces students to the history and scope of psychological inquiry, helps them acquire a basic understanding of the scientific method and its application to psychological research, and trains them to critically evaluate and discuss psychology texts.     Curriculum

    The minor in Psychology requires a minimum of 18 credits, with at least two courses at the 2000 level and two courses at the 3000 or 4000 level. Students should consult with their Student Success advisor if they are taking a combination of NPSY and LPSY courses to ensure that the course content does not overlap. Students can apply a maximum of (1) NPSY course toward the minor.

    • ULEC 2160 Introduction to Psychology
    • A minimum of 4 courses and/or a minimum of 15 credits total in the following 2 subject areas:
      • LPSY or NPSY Fundamentals courses at the 2000 level
      • LPSY or NPSY advanced-level courses at the 3000 or 4000 level 

    Total credits: 18–21

    Students must receive a grade of C or better in all courses taken to fulfill the minor. See the university course catalog for spring 2025 Psychology courses that fulfill these requirements.
