  • Starfish, the Student Success Network, is a Web-based platform used here at The New School that connects students with faculty, staff, advisors, and a number of services throughout the campus.

    Students can use Starfish to monitor their progress in any credit-bearing courses they are enrolled in. Starfish also allows students to easily request help, receive follow-up, and schedule appointments to discuss any questions or concerns.

    It is important to know that any flags, kudos, or referrals received via Starfish are simply notifications and do not indicate grades. If you receive a flag or a referral, you are strongly encouraged to take action early and speak with your course instructor, your advisor, and/or a member of the New School staff.

  • If you still have questions, you can email them to starfish@newschool.edu or you can raise a “Starfish Concern/Question” flag through the Request Help feature in Starfish.

To apply to any of our undergraduate programs (except the Bachelor's Program for Adults and Transfer Students and Parsons Associate of Applied Science programs) complete and submit the Common App online.

Undergraduate Adult Learners

To apply to any of our Bachelor's Program for Adults and Transfer Students and Parsons Associate of Applied Science programs, complete and submit the New School Online Application.

Graduates

To apply to any of our Master's, Doctoral, Professional Studies Diploma, and Graduate Certificate programs, complete and submit the New School Online Application.
