• An investment as significant as your education calls for information, planning, and assistance. We’re here to help. This page has been designed to assist you in understanding the full cost of our New School degree programs. Our Office of Financial Aid is available to work with you and your family as you determine your individual financial plan.

While this page focuses on tuition and fees, it’s important to know that most students receive institutional aid from The New School to help offset their total cost. For example, in the 2024-2025 academic year, more than 85 percent of students received such aid, totaling more than $151 million in value. In addition, many students also receive federal and other external awards of grants, scholarships, and federal work-study, further lowering their net cost.

In your financial planning, it is important to consider all the costs of attendance, including tuition, fees, and room and board as well as books and supplies, transportation, and personal expenses. To approximate this cost, select “SEE MY ESTIMATED COST” below and follow the prompts.

  • Note: Information and estimates on this page are provided for planning purposes only and are based on the current academic year. Estimates do not take into consideration scholarships, federal financial aid, or other tuition discounts that you may be eligible to receive. This is not an official pricing agreement. You will receive an official invoice for billable costs following registration.
