Our Welcome Center building is located at 72 Fifth Avenue, on the corner of 13th Street, and is currently open to external visitors.
Before visiting us in person, please familiarize yourself with the university's health and safety protocols:
- The New School has partnered with CLEAR to use Health Pass, an online
tool that safely and simply provides proof of COVID-19 vaccination and
testing. For the most efficient entry possible, all guests should download the CLEAR app, create a free CLEAR account, and complete the checklist for entry requirements before coming to campus.
- Guests and visitors must provide one of the following: proof of up-to-date vaccination, including a booster when eligible;
a negative result from a PCR test taken within three days before arrival; or a negative result from a rapid test taken the same day.
- Wearing a mask is strongly recommended but not required on campus.
We look forward to welcoming you to our campus and thank you in advance for helping us keep all members of our community safe. For more information, visit our COVID-19 Community Guide.
Limited tours will be available during the university's winter break
period, January 3–20. Our spring term will commence on January 23; our
in-person offerings will include pre-scheduled admission counseling
appointments and campus tours. Visitors without appointments
can interact with Welcome Center staff in the Welcome Center lobby.
Those interested in learning more about our academic programs, admission requirements, or campus life are invited to connect online with a Welcome Center student assistant through our Welcome Center Virtual Desk. Virtual desk hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST Monday through Friday when the university is open. No appointment is necessary.
If you are unable to schedule an in-person tour, we encourage you to take our virtual tour and connect with us through one of our many additional online events.
